Hans Poulis – Chairman
Hans Poulis, who was born in Rotterdam in 1957, started his career as a manager with Schaap Citroen Jewellers in 1984. He left this company as Director Marketing & Sales in 1992 to set up his own company Poulis Hontele. From a one person company, Poulis Hontele expanded into a sizeable promotional product specialist. In 2009 Hans Poulis sold all shares in his company and continued his work as Chairman of the Platform Promotional Products (Dutch Industry Association) and as President and CEO of the European Promotional Products Association (EPPA).
In 2011, Hans Poulis became the CEO of IGC Global Promotions where he manages a network of 52 companies in 46 countries. The group has an annual turnover of approximately € 395 million and some 1800 staff members around the world. The group also has an office in Hong Kong.
Together with IGC Global Promotions, Hans Poulis established IGC International in 2017, an agency in Rotterdam, which brings IGC Global Promotions’ worldwide knowledge of local markets together. IGC International (www.igc-international.com) empowers global brands to create perfect branded products.
Mr Poulis visits Hong Kong regularly and annually brings large delegations to the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fairs.
Hans Poulis was elected Chairman of the NHKBA in April 2015.
Mariella de Koning – Vice Chairman
Mariella de Koning is CMO, MD Marketing for Randstad Holding. In the fast digitizing HR services industry she is co-leading digital transformation of Randstad and its marketing function.
Her roots are in the durables and consumer electronics industry, where she worked for over 20 years in several executive positions in product development, marketing & sales. For Philips, she has set up and managed businesses in digital photo frames and accessories. She has worked and lived in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and currently lives in the Netherlands. Mariella is graduated from the Delft University of Technology (MsC) and has done a postdoc at Wharton Business School.
Inspired by the energy of Hong Kong and China, and its commercial drive, Mariella is interested to stay close to and ensure the visibility of the developments taking place in Hong Kong and their relevant for Dutch trade.

George Ammerlaan – Secretary
George Ammerlaan was born in Rotterdam in 1959, the Netherlands. After graduating from the School for Journalism in Utrecht, he served as project leader Press and Publicity for the Netherlands Information Service (RVD) from 1982 – 1987 and as press officer for Rai Gebouw BV from 1987 – 1988. He joined the Benelux Office of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 1988 and became its Director in 1994. He held this position until the Benelux Office of the HKTDC was closed in 2010. In that year, George Ammerlaan co-founded the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands and became its first Chairman. (www.hongkongkvk.nl)

Paula Kant – Treasurer
Paula Kant was appointed Senior Investment Promotion Executive of Invest Hong Kong in February 2017.
InvestHK is the Hong Kong Government department that promotes the advantages of Hong Kong as a base to locate a business; and assists overseas enterprises establish and develop their presence in the city. Ms Kant is responsible for the activities of the organisation in many countries of the European Union.
Paula Kant has 25+ years’ international experience in Marketing & Sales, and General Management, mostly in B-2-B. She has lived and worked in Europe (Netherlands, Spain), Asia (Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia), North Africa (Libya), and New Zealand. In previous positions, Paula has been leading New Business Development and International Marketing & Sales strategy; opening sales offices, building & leading Marketing & Sales teams, with P&L responsibilities. Companies she worked for include: InsightAsia Market Research Group, Links for Energy, Handicare Mobility, RWE-Obragas, DSM, and Massey University. Paula holds a BBA and an MBA from Nijenrode University in the Netherlands.

Justin Chang is the current Country Manager for Benelux & Scandinavia with Cathay Pacific Airways where he has been for the past 12 years. He has experience in various departments throughout the airline such as Revenue Management, Inflight Services and Operations Enhancement, all of which were served in Hong Kong.
Having grown up in Australia, he relocated to Hong Kong after graduating with a Bachelors of Aviation Management from the University of New South Wales. Hong Kong is the home for him and Cathay Pacific Airways and by being part of the board of the NHKBA, he hopes to contribute in the growth of the already strong relationship between The Netherlands and Hong Kong. ”
He was appointed Country Manager Benelux and Scandinavia of Cathay Pacific Airways in 2017 and joined the board of the NHKBA in the same year.
