The yearly mid-Summer business event of the Netherlands Hong Kong Business Association, held on 2 July at the Mainport by Inntel Hotel in Rotterdam, was a big success.
The event was co-organised by the NHKBA, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and InvestHK.
Gold Partners of the event were Loyens & Loeff and NLinBusiness. Supporting organisations were the Netherlands China Business Council, the Dragons Businessclub and Guanxi.nl.
More than 120 members of the NHKBA and guests attended a seminar focussing on China’s Greater Bay Initiative. Speakers included Nicholas Kwan, Director of Research of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. He informed the public about the development of the GBA. This area, with some 65 million inhabitants, includes the Special Administrative Regions Hong Kong and Macau as well as Chinese cities such as Guangzhou, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Foshan and others. The area is the richest part of China and one of the worlds most important manufacturers of high end consumer products.
More information about the speakers and the GBA can be found on the event website.
