Paul du Long, CTO of the Dutch-linked Start-up BlueMeg from Hong Kong, received the 2019 Hong Kong Shooting Star Award at the annual Dongzhi Event of the Netherlands Hong Kong Business Association at Kasteel de Wittenburg in Wassenaar on Thursday 21 November.
The award was presented on behalf of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in HK by Mrs Annemieke Ruigrok, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions
During the event special guest Mrs Ruigrok also shared her observations and views about the current situation and developments in Hong Kong.
Other speakers at the well attended event (75 guests) were

– Ms. Fiona Chau, Deputy Representative of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels;
– Mr. William Chui, Director Europe of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council;

– Mr. Paul du Long, CTO of BlueMeg.
The seminar part was concluded with a lively question and answer session.
During the reception, guests were treated to Oysters from Zeeland and they had the chance to win a real diamond that was hidden in one of the glasses of bubbly wine that were served as part of the “Gassan Diamond Surprise“.
